CHIKV-IN-5 (Compound 26) is a potent small molecule inhibitor of Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) replication, exhibiting an EC90 of 0.45 µM. It acts during late-stage viral infection by inhibiting structural protein translation. Demonstrating good microsomal stability, this compound has shown efficacy in mouse models, reducing viral tissue spread and associated footpad swelling.
