MitoPT JC-1 Assay kit

The MitoPT JC-1 Assay Kit is designed to detect mitochondrial membrane depolarization using the fluorescent dye JC-1. In mitochondria with an intact, negatively charged membrane potential, JC-1 accumulates and emits orange fluorescence. During apoptosis or metabolic stress, the collapse of the mitochondrial membrane potential causes JC-1 to disperse throughout the cell, resulting in a shift to green fluorescence.
