Bacterial Sortase Substrate III, Abz/DNP TFA is an internally quenched fluorescent peptide substrate for monitoring sortase A (SrtA) activity. Its cleavage by SrtA, which forms amide bonds in cell-wall assembly, is detected fluorometrically (Ex/Em=320/420 nm). This tool is widely used in vitro for studying bacterial pathogenesis and developing anti-infective therapeutics.
