Clomipramine D3 hydrochloride is a deuterated analog of the tricyclic antidepressant clomipramine. The parent compound is a potent serotonin transporter blocker (Ki=0.14 nM) with additional activity at norepinephrine and dopamine transporters. This labeled form is used as an internal standard in analytical methods for pharmacokinetic and metabolic studies in vitro and in vivo.
