Cys-pexiganan is an antimicrobial peptide derivative active against P. aeruginosa (MIC 64 µg/ml) and S. aureus (MIC 16 µg/ml). When conjugated to electrospun CA/PVA mats, it demonstrates enhanced hemostatic activity by accelerating plasma clotting in vitro, supporting research in wound healing and antimicrobial biomaterials.
