NSC 15830 (S-(1,2-Dichlorovinyl)-L-cysteine) hydrochloride is a nephrotoxic metabolite of trichloroethylene with inhibitory activity against pathogen-stimulated TNF-α. It is used in research to study chemical-induced nephrotoxicity and immune modulation in experimental models, both in vitro and in vivo.
