In Vivo

Male Sprague Dawley rats were administered 10 mg/kg Refanezumab intravenously starting 24 hours after stroke onset and repeated weekly for a total of 6 doses. The results showed that this treatment resulted in significant improvements in neurologic scores and step tests. Refanezumab was able to penetrate the damaged area and had some positive impact on functional recovery within 24 hours of stroke.
