(3R,5R)-3,5-Dihydroxy-1,7-bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)heptane 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside

(3R,5R)-3,5-Dihydroxy-1,7-bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)heptane 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside is a diarylheptane glycoside extracted from Tacca plantaginea. This compound significantly inhibits TNF-α-induced NF-κB transcriptional activity with an IC50 of 9.4 μM and notably activates PPAR transcriptional activity with an EC50 of 9.9 μM, showing specific activation of PPARβ(δ) with an EC50 of 23.1 μM. At the tested concentrations, it is non-toxic to cells and can be applied in research related to inflammatory diseases.
