Anti-inflammatory agent 54 (9c), a Coixol derivative, is a potent inhibitor of the NF-κB pathway. It suppresses pro-inflammatory mediators including iNOS, TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β, demonstrating in vitro activity in LPS-stimulated macrophages (IC50 = 2.4 μM) and in vivo efficacy in murine edema models.
