CIL62 is a small molecule that induces cell death via a caspase-3/7-independent, necroptosis-related pathway, as its action is inhibited by Necrostatin-1. Necrostatin-1 at 19 μM (5 μg/mL) suppresses CIL62, but CIL62 is not suppressed by the ferroptosis inducers (antioxidants or iron-chelators) .
