Goat Rabbit IgG (Fc specific), conjugated with Biotin Antibody

The antiserum specifically recognizes the Fc region of the IgG molecule and exhibits strict isotype (class) specificity. Immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion analyses demonstrate that it does not cross-react with non-Ig proteins present in rabbit serum. This antiserum is suitable for immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical applications to detect IgG at the cellular and subcellular levels using appropriately prepared cell and tissue samples. It may also be used to detect circulating IgG antibodies in serodiagnostic microbiology and autoimmune disease studies, to identify specific antigens using a reference goat IgG antibody as the intermediate layer in indirect assay formats, and in non-isotopic assays such as ELISA for quantifying IgG in rabbit serum or other biological fluids. For signal detection, an avidin- or streptavidin-conjugated reagent selected by the user must be applied as a second step. This immunoconjugate is supplied undiluted, and the optimal working dilution should be determined by titration prior to use. Excess labeled antibody should be avoided, as it may result in high nonspecific background staining and interfere with specific signal detection.
