Nanatinostat (CHR-3996) is an oral, second-generation HDAC inhibitor with antineoplastic potential. It promotes histone hyperacetylation and gene expression changes leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, showing enhanced effects on HSP70 and Bcl-2 compared to earlier inhibitors. It has been investigated in preclinical models for hematological and solid tumors.
